In order to use your Addvantage program on a Networked system, you must Map all of the other computers to the File Server's hard drive. To do this, 1st you have to make sure that the server's drive is set to Shared.
Making the Server Drive Shared
At the Server do the following:
Position your mouse over the My Computer icon, then right-click
your mouse. Choose "Open" from the list. Next you will see a list of
drives. Position your mouse over the local drive C and then right click your
mouse. Click on "Properties"Next you will see the properties window below. Click on the Sharing tab.

Under Network Sharing and Security, check the box es 'Share this folder on network" and "Allow network users to change my files"
Next enter the letter C in the Share Name box and then click on Apply, then OK
Write down the Server's Name - You will need to know the name of your server to do the next step. To find out it's name, left-click on My Computer icon, then select Properties. You will see a tab Computer Name Click on it and write down your server's name.
Mapping the other computers to the Server
You will need to do the following at each computer that will be using the Addvantage program.
Left-click
on the My Computer icon.
You will see the options below. Right-click on Map Network Drive

In the folder box, type the path to your Server as shown below. You will substitute the server's Computer name that you wrote down from Step 1 and the drive letter that is shared. Be sure to check the box, Reconnect at logon
After entering your information, click on Finish and your drive should be mapped.

Remember the Drive Letter for your server. You will need it when you start Addvantage for the 1st time. You will be asked for the data location and this drive letter will be needed.
