To increase the speed of Customer Purchase History on a multi-user system, you can create a local copy of the history database. Each day when you open your Addvantage program, it will check for any new information on the server and update the local database. To setup this feature, please follow these instructions carefully.
At the Main Addvantage Menu, click on Company, then select Company Setup

At the Company Setup Screen, click on the Misc Settings tab.

In the History Lookup Options, check the Use Local Drive for History Lookups
After checking, click on the Exit tab and save changes.
Next Step - At the Main Menu, click on Utilities, then select Update Local History File
The program will make a copy of the history file on the server. Now you should see faster search results.
